2015 New Hampshire Film Festival Preview

How quickly another year has passed! It seems like just last week I was filling you in on all of the amazing films that I saw at the 2014 New Hampshire Film Festival; and yet, here we are! As always, there are a TON of great looking films included in this year’s lineup, including short films, features, documentaries, animation and music videos. (Check out the 2015 NHFF trailer here)

Besides the films themselves, there are a myriad of other things that will be going on this year.  The New Hampshire Film Festival staff always work hard to bring in some big names and a little bit of Hollywood to New Hampshire, and this year’s no exception. This year the festival will feature appearances by Kenny Stevenson, the 2015 winner of the Screenwriting Competition, Tom Bergeron, David Dastmalchian, John Michael Higgens and Jimmy Dunn. These special guests will give and receive awards and participate in the highly anticipated Comedy Panel. Other festival activities will include after parties every night of the festival, panels on Independent Film Making and Community, Social Change through Film, a panel on Film Distribution, a meet and greet with the filmakers that entered the Screenwriting Competition, New Hampshire Night ceremonies and reception, Opening Night ceremonies and reception, Closing Night ceremonies and reception, and much more!

Of course, with any festival this large (there will be over 100 films shown during NHFF), it will be impossible to see everything, which makes the task of narrowing down the choices a difficult one. There are a number of films that I want to see that I just won’t be able to. In the future, when I get my chance to see them, I’ll be sure to fill you in on how wonderful they are. For now, here’s the list of what I’m most excited about:

I’ll be sure to fill you in on all of the festival happenings as they occur both here, and on Twitter@LMovieLowdown. Hope to see you there!
